Well Fuck. I don't think I've ever been surprised by a good mark before. I mean, sure, I do actually do my work, even if I sometimes complain while I do it, but I still thought I was going to fail for a) being out of my element and b) pissing off most of the people I work with. But I certainly do not object to doing well.

I am still 100% positive there's been a mistake since I should be at the Prophet, not Witch Weekly. However, the idiots in charge refuse to let me change and are still wrongly insisting that Witch Weekly is real journalism. They somehow think that I should be thrilled that my talents will be wasted talking about fall's most slimming trends or whatever the fuck else. I don't know why they think I'd be happy that I'm being forced to perpetuate a sexist agenda that keeps women believing that their worth lies in their ability to look pretty and find and keep a man. I really want no part of it, but I don't exactly have a choice. I really need a drink tonight so maybe I can stop seriously contemplating hexing someone into next week.
Also Cal. I apologize for the burning small in our flat. That's what happens when I try to cook.

I have a very important announcement.
So today, this first year came up to me, and he asked a million and one questions about all sorts of useless things because, really, what else would first years do other than annoy the fuck out of you? But did I act impatient or threaten to hex and/or beat him? I did not. Did I talk to him for over an hour and answer every one of his questions? Why yes I did.
Who knew that I could deal with children without resorting to violence. I certainly did not see that one coming.
Though maybe this means I'm going soft.
